Frances – San Francisco

In english: If you want to visit a good restaurant i San Francisco you need to make a reservation – and in some places a couple of months ahead. I made a reservation at Frances, with one star in Guide Michelin, pretty late but managed to get a table a week later at 5 AM. It was situated within walking distance from our apartment but we hesitated before leaving. We were tired and the reservation was a bit early in the evening. Well, I forced my family to go out and we had the most amazing experience. Frances has that kind of relaxed neighbourhood feeling that makes you feel comfortable right away. The service is professional and the food just wonderful. It’s fresh, of course, but also extremely well balanced in both flavors and textures. We enjoyed our dinner from the first to the last bite – and in the end we even ordered two desserts.

Brokaw Hass Avocado and crispy maitake mushroom, black garlic and cilantro. We had avocado in several dishes during our visit to SF and it was always a sure pick! Creamy and full of taste.
